Privacy PolicyThe Rainforest Alliance does not prompt users of its Web site who only view the various Web pages that make up the site for personal information. However, information that is automatically sent from users' Web browsers, such as their Internet protocol addresses, domain names and Web browser types, is automatically recorded. The individual Web pages users view, and the times at which users begin and end viewing sessions, are also automatically recorded. Individuals may subscribe to Rainforest Matters and Eco-Education Matters, monthly newsletters published electronically by the Rainforest Alliance, via the Web site. When subscribing, individuals are required to submit their first and last names and email addresses. Additional information -- street address, telephone number, etc. -- is requested, but not required to be submitted. Individuals may request that the information they provide not be provided to third parties by calling Membership Services at (212) 677-1900, ext. 1953 or sending email to David Chrystal, Membership Assistant, at dchrystal@ra.org. The Rainforest Alliance takes all reasonable and appropriate measures to safeguard against unauthorized disclosures of information. However, inadvertent disclosures inconsistent with the privacy policy may result, for example, due to a third party's misrepresentation. The Rainforest Alliance on its Web site offers numerous links to other Web sites in order to provide users with additional information. The privacy policy does not apply to those sites, and the Rainforest Alliance is not responsible for information collected by their administrators. The privacy policy may be changed from time to time without prior notification.
